𝐃𝐏𝐖𝐇 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 ‘𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬’

 

During the inaugural episode of Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas in Calabarzon, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) IV-A was featured as the national government agency. Regional Director Jovel Mendoza, CESO III, highlighted significant infrastructure projects completed in 2023, including:

• 674.26 kilometers of roadworks
• 22,848.7 square meters of bridges
• 95,841.83 linear meters of flood control projects
• 451 essential facilities

Mendoza added that as of May 2024, the department has 2,690 ongoing infrastructure projects in the region, including road projects extending up to 334.16 kilometers.

The DPWH has allocated Php 14,949,976,000.00 for its convergence and special support programs in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Tourism, among other government agencies.
