IAAPA delegates visit Manila, Cebu

International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) delegates visited tourist destinations in Manila and Cebu, which concluded the Asian Attractions Expo 2014 in Beijing, China.

IAAPA Chairman Mario O. Mamon and Enchanted Kingdom’s chairman and president said the visit is an excellent opportunity for Philippine’s tourism sector in establishing partnerships and linkages among its members worldwide.

Delegates composing of attraction industry professionals like owners, operators, manufacturers and suppliers representing 60 countries experienced the promise of more fun in the Philippines with their tour in Enchanted Kingdom, Mind Museum, American Cemetery, Fort Santiago and Tagaytay City.

Welcomed by Filipino hospitality, IAAPA delegates enjoyed shopping locally made products; feasting on Filipino cuisine; and seeing folk dance performances.   

Mamon said the future of amusement and attractions industry becomes even more promising because of IAAPA’s flagship programs related to safe operations and professional growth thus, he is encouraging more industry players to partake its advocacy.

By strengthening country membership in the like of Philippine Association of Amusement and Attractions (PhilAAPA), its members are expecting to benefit from capacity-building in the region through sharing of expertise and resources.

To date, IAAPA constantly broadens its global presence by holding annual trade shows namely IAAPA Attractions Expo, Asian Attractions Expo and Euro Attractions Show where innovations, best practices and global networking are highlighted with the presence of industry leaders and business providers.
