Confiscated Firearms

PRO CALABARZON has taken into possession a total of seven hundred sixty five (765) assorted firearms and one thousand seven hundred sixty five (1765) ammunition since the implementation of COMELEC Resolution No. 10197 or the Ban on Bearing, Carrying or Transporting of Firearms or Other Deadly weapon which started on April 14, 2018 and will end on May 21, 2018 in relation to 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

For the period from April 14 to May 5, 2018, a total of one hundred twenty-seven (127) assorted firearms were confiscated with twenty two (22) bladed weapon, three (3) replica, two (2) grenade and one thousand seventy three (1073) assorted ammunition; and a total of one hundred fifty (150) persons were arrested, two (2) of which were PNP members, one (1) government official (Brgy. Chairman) and one (1) security guard while the rest were civilians.

The confiscated items were the result of the vigorous and intensified checkpoint, police patrol/response, buy bust, Oplan Sita, Implementation of Search Warrant, Internal Security and other police operations conducted by PRO4A.

Also, a total of six hundred thirty eight (638) assorted firearms and six hundred ninety-two (692) ammunition were turned-over for safe keeping by some candidates, Brgy Officials, businessmen and other civilians.
