SM City Calamba received the Safety Seal certification issued by the local government

 

On April 23, 2021, the DOLE-DOH-DILG-DOT-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01 Series of 2021 – Implementing guidelines to Safety Seal certification program was released. The said program aims to assure the consumers and the general public of the establishments’ compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the government.

SM City Calamba is the first establishment to receive the Safety Seal certification in the City of Calamba. The event was graced by Calamba City Mayor Justin Marc SB. Chipeco, DTI 4A Regional Director Ms. Marilou Toledo, DTI Provincial Director Mr. Clarke Nebrao, DILG 4A Regional Directo Mr. Ariel Iglesia, DOLE 4A Regional Director Mr. Exequiel Ronnie De Guzman, DOT Region IV-A Chief Tourism Operation Officer Ms. Marites Castro, with SM Supermalls SAVP John Jason Terrenal, and AVP Angel Toreja. “I would like to congratulate SM City Calamba for receiving the Safety Seal certification, this is the first in the CALABARZON region.” said DTI Regional Director Marilou Toledo. The Safety Seal is valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance, except for those issued to tourism enterprises. The Safety Seal shall be renewable subject to continued compliance with the eligibility requirements.
