Department of
Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the Public Employment Service
Office (PESO) in cooperation with SM Supermalls held its 4th Labor
Day Job fair at the Cyberzone area of SM City Calamba.
A total of 2,095
applicants were screened and interviewed by the participating companies. The 50
participating companies were mainly from the manpower, manufacturing and retail
industries, 47 of which are local companies while the remaining 3 are for
overseas recruitment. Last year, 258 candidates were hired on the spot. This
year, 555 interviewees will be having new jobs in the succeeding days as they
were hired on the spot by their chosen corporations.
SM Supermalls,
being a home to over 300,000 employees, will continue to make efforts in
providing jobs to the growing Filipino workforce.
