SM City San Pablo Gives Joy to Baloc Kids
San Pablo City-- SM City San
Pablo recently turn over 188 toy bears to Sto Nino Baloc Elementary
School. The campaign dubbed as “Bears of
Joy,” where shoppers get a chance to adopt teddy bears for just P100 then these
“Bears of Joy” will be donated to charitable institutions across the country.
Mall shoppers were able to participate in the program where for P200 buys two teddy bears, one to keep and
one to be given to selected beneficiaries of the program.
This project aims to promote the
value of sharing and giving and to remind mallgoers that they too have a
responsibility towards their immediate community. With the assistance of City
Councilor Karla Adajar, SM City San Pablo were able to locate baloc as the
chosen beneficiary. Sto Nino Elementary School in Baloc have 180 students. Some
of the kids there go to school barefoot nad have not owned a toy bear. It was
indeed a moving experience to seea smile in a child’s face.
Bears of Joy is one of the many
SM Cares program of SM Supermalls and SM city San Pablo is very fortunate to be
part of the community that celebrates giving and sharing.
