Los Banos, Laguna, 24 March 2015- The DILG led the development of OPLAN LISTO, of which the LGU Disaster Preparedness Manual is one of the components that will serve as guide in the event of typhoons and floods. This Regional Launching/Orientation (roll-out) conducted today at the Local Government Academy Training Center, Los Banos Laguna.
The activity was spearheaded by DIR. JOSEFINA E. CASTILLA-GO, Regional
Director, DILG 4A and participated by MR. FRANCISCO R. BARAQUILLO
III, DOST 4A Head Planning/MIS, DIR. VICENTE F TOMAZAR, Regional
Director, OCD4A and MS. THELMA T VECINA, Asst Dir. DILG-LGA. Also joined
the event were PCI PASTOR P. CASTILLO, Deputy Chief, PCR Branch, under
the command of PSSUPT FLORENDO SALAPARE SALIGAO, Officer-In-Charge,
Laguna PPO.
This OPLAN is composed of the DILG Provincial Directors, Cluster heads and DPRM Provincial Focal Persons, Regional Staffs and LGA Guests, PDRRMO’s, Regional Directors of BFP, PNP, BJMP and NAPOLCOM, Provincial Directors of BFP, PNP, BJMP and RDRRMC-Disaster Preparedness Sub-Committee Members.
The following counterparts will be formed to accomplish the specific objectives which is Regional Launching, Provincial Convergence Action and Planning, Preparedness Dialogue, and WEMBOREE for DRR. A set of Manuals aimed of assisting LGU’s in the formulation of their disaster Plans, providing them guiding if they are ready and whether they meet the minimum levels of readiness in times of disaster.
The highlight of the event was commitment signing, and the identification of the roles of each and every stakeholders. (laguna ppo)
