Calamba City, Laguna – Pamaskong Handog Para sa Global Pinoy 2015 at SM City Calamba

Coming home has never been this memorable as SM City Calamba honored the OFWs who came home to spend Christmas with their family.

 Now on its 4^th year, The Pamaskong Handog para sa Global Pinoy aims to appreciate the contributions of the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in our economy. Tagged as the modern day heroes SM City Calamba gave the OFWs, together with their friends and families, a one-day treat.

Liezl Dalay, supervisor of the Global Pinoy Center (GPC) said that the sacrifices undergone by these OFWs should be given proper credit as they sacrificed their time and their chance to be with their loved ones just to give them better lives.

The OFWs were treated to a “Grand Salubong”, entertainment, and a raffle bonanza. Raffle prizes were sponsored by Banco de Oro (BDO), Jollibee, SM Supermarket, and SM Store.

Aside from these, OFWs were also able to enjoy the OFW Sale which entitled all BDO Kabayan and Global Pinoy members of a 10% discount at the SM Store. SM Supermarket also set up a Pasalubong Bazaar for our dear OFWs.                       

GPC operates under the SM Cares, the corporate social responsibility program of SM Supermalls which was founded to help guide the OFWs and their families through the challenges of working or having a loved one work overseas. KCHT
