APRI recognized for safe plant operations

EHS Manager Ronald Ambrocio, EHS Supervisor Jim Rey Recierdo, Safety Specialist Walfredo Mariano, and Safety Specialist Casimiro Flores Jr.,received the 2015 Corporate Safety and Health Excellence Award.

AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AboitizPower was presented with the 2015 SHAPES Corporate Safety and Health Excellence Award for attaining zero lost time accident from November 1, 2014 to October 31, 2015 and the Industrial Safety Award for its exemplary occupational health and safety performance, achieving 7,981,966 safe man-hours without a lost time accident from October 18, 2010 to September 30, 2015.

Corporate Safety and Health Excellence Award, for 6th consecutive year, was given by the Safety and Health Association of the Philippine Energy Sector (SHAPES), Inc. in coordination with the Department of Energy (DOE) during the 11th Energy Safety and Health Conference held last December 3, 2015 in DOE AVR and Databank Lobby.

In addition to the corporate recognition, APRI’s very own EHS Manager Ronald Ambrocio, EHS Supervisor Jim Rey Recierdo, Safety Supervisor Dennis Azarcon, Safety Specialist Walfredo Mariano, Safety Specialist Casimiro Flores Jr., and Safety Technician Leo Eranzo were also recognized with individual 2015 Outstanding Safety and Health Professional Awards for being instrumental in achieving a safe work environment in the organization.

Meanwhile, APRI was also cited with the 2015 Industrial Safety Award by The Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. during the 48th National Industrial Safety Convention in Taal Vista Hotel last December 3-4, 2015.

Engr. Warren Maralit, AVP of Facility Makban Geo Group, received the Award of Excellence.


These award-giving bodies aim to promote highly professionalized Safety and Health programs and provide recognition to best practices.
