Celebrating the Colorful Spirit of United Nations Day in SM San Pablo

United Nation Day, above and beyond, is celebrated to remember the organization of the United Nations and its agenda of promoting human rights, diversity and progress across the world. Here in San Pablo City, the colorful vibe of the United Nations Day is showcased thru the parade of Nations done in the mall atrium of SM City San Pablo.

Last 21^st of October, Several schools here in San Pablo joined in the United Nations – National Costume Contest. This helps raise awareness on the different cultural identity of a country thru its national costume. Events like this helps open the door to conversations on the importance of getting along with others who are different and also helping those who are in need.

In celebrating the United Nations Day, every one of us is encouraged to celebrate these core principles of inter-cultural understanding and synthesis and a larger and more acute sense of being in the world, of belonging to a family, the largest family, the universe.

Assistant Mall Manager of SM City San Pablo Dan Belen said that UN at the mall has always been one of the most celebrated and successful events during the month of October. SM City San Pablo is grateful to all the supportive parents that really go out of their way to dress up their kids.
