PRO4A receives M16 Rifles

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – The Police Regional Office CALABARZON receives a total of 200 units of M16 Rifle, 400 magazines and 72, 000 ammunitions from The Directorate for Logistics of the National Headquarters to be distributed to Regional Public Safety Battalion and the Public Safety Forces of this region.

The blessing and turn-over of said firearms was held today during the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony. The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Julius B Cruz of the Regional Pastoral Office while the turn-over was led by Regional Director PCSUPT Ma. O Ranada Aplasca together with BGen Arnulfo Marcelo B Burgos, Jr., 202nd Brigade, 2ID Commander of the Philippine Army who graces the occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

“The threat to terrorism has been one of the concerns of the Regional Office, hence these rifles will further boost the capability of our personnel and will mobilize them for possible terrorists’ attacks and other circumstances,” RD Aplasca said.


July of this year, PRO4A received 100 units of M16 and 1 unit of M14 (Sniper) Rifles from the National Headquarters. (PIO- PRO4A)
