Livelihood training and seminar conducted in celebration of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week

Los Baños, Laguna - PENRO Laguna as an active partner of National Council on
Disability Affairs (NCDA) and in support to National Disability Prevention and
Rehabilitation Week (July 17-23, 2019) with the theme: “Lokal na Pamahalaan: Kabilikat sa Pagtupad ng Karapatan ng mga Taong
May Kapansanan” conducted a livelihood training and seminar to selected
Senior Citizens and People with Disabilities (PWDs) of Brgy. Lalakay, Los
Baños, Laguna on July 18, 2019 at PENRO Multi-purpose Hall, Los Baños, Laguna.
Special Livelihood Office (SLO) of the Provincial Government of Laguna provided
the lecture and actual demonstrations on paper beads and doormat making. The
said activity intends to enhance productivity, innovation and creativity of
Senior Citizens and PWDs. Moreover, it aims to provide additional or
alternative source of livelihood to these sectors by being partners of PENRO
Laguna in solid waste management by turning solid waste materials into reusable
items/handicrafts which they can sell or market. (RPAO)
