SSS and PCIC ink MoA for coverage of JOs and contractual personnel

CALAMBA, Laguna – The Social Security System (SSS) Calamba Branch and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Region 4A formally sealed a joint commitment for SSS coverage of 91 Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) personnel by signing a Memorandum of Agreement under the KaltaSSS-Collect Collect Program.

Under the signed MoA, JOs and COS will be registered as self-employed members of SSS and will remit their monthly premiums through salary deduction scheme. Once they have complied the contribution requirement, JOs and COS workers are now entitled to avail of SSS benefits such as sickness, maternity, disability, unemployment, retirement, death, and funeral benefits, as well as other privileges like salary and calamity loan.
