Santa Rosa City, Laguna – Over 12,916 shoes and 757 sanitizers were recently turned over to the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) Region IV –A to be distributed to persons with disabilities and victims of child and women abuse. The project is thru Operation Tulong Express of SM Foundation and it aims to address the needs of communities during calamities and crises.
SM City Santa Rosa Mall Operations headed by Mall Manager Eve Verzola, with representatives from DSWD and The SM Store attended the Turnover. According to SM Public Relations Manager Niña Wong “SM Foundation targets to donate 200,000 pairs of shoes and sanitizers for non-typhoon Odette affected areas and 60,000 pairs for Odette-affected areas. SM partnered with DSWD and a few partner agencies for this project.” “May these pair of shoes be a symbolic sign of hope to its recipients and for them to just keep going and may we hear success stories from them in the future just like our founder Henry Sy Sr.” she added.##
