The Camp Vicente Lim Press Corp-initiated “Meetthe Press” event held last February 4, 2022 in Sta. Maria, Laguna was a resounding success. This is the first leg of a series of Meet the Press events to feature all political aspirants running for local post in the province.
Its objective is to let the people know more about the platform and governance programs of all candidates running for a local post this coming May election.
According to Camp Vicente Lim Press Corps President, Mr. Roy Tomandao, many of the aspiring candidates accepted the challenge, he said, “This is an opportunity for us media men to get the aspirants to “tell the people,” what’swith them andhow will they serve their constituents given the chance to get elected in the position.”
“All candidates are welcome to guest. This “Meet the Press” platform, broadcast on TV, radio and other social media platforms of the Camp Vicente Lim Press Corp (CVLPC)members, gives all local aspirants for the coming May 2022 election, equal opportunity to be heard, regardless of their party affiliation or color.” Tomandao added.During the discussion, all CVLPC members were given the chance to ask Cuento-Caisip team, more specifically about the common problems their municipality is currently facing. Issues ranging from peace and order, health and sanitation, senior citizen concerns, disaster preparedness, infrastructures, tourism and a whole lot more were asked. The guest aspirants answered each of them point per point, relating their plan of actions on each one of them, in order to minimize, if not completely solve said problems.
Aspirant for the Mayorial position Jayson Cuento said, if given the chance to get elected, he will allot enough funds to ensure the safety of his constituents. He said: “We will focus on services related to Tourism, so that we can show the world we can proudly be one of the must-visit tourism spot in the country with all the beautiful places we have here. Also, we will launch projects to help our small businessmen to recover from their loss during the pandemic.”
For Sta. Maria, Laguna, mayoralty race aspirant Jayson Cuento, with Jovan Caisipfor Vice Mayor position, and the entire “Serbisyon Walang Hangganan” team thanked CPLVC group for their presence and for putting up this Meet the Press event, opening an opportunity for them to share their platforms to the public, especially through Facebook live and their other streaming platforms. ###
