DOLE QUEZON COMMENDS PETER PAUL PHIL. CORP. FOR REGULARIZING MORE THAN 100 WORKERS

The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office IV-A. through its Quezon Provincial Office (DOLE QPO),commends Peter Paul Philippine Corporation for regularizing 103 former workers of its third-party providers and for strict compliance with labor laws. Such action was part of their pledge to support the campaign of the government in ensuring and safeguarding the security of tenure to workers in the private sector. 

DOLE QPO Head Mr. Edwin T. Hernandez cited Peter Paul for its remarkable step in regulaizing workers despite the difficulty of doing business as a result of the ongoing pandemic and other calamities. 

“The regularization of workers by Peter Paul stems from the dismissal order issued by the Regional Office last 2018 due to the Action Plan submitted by the company on the regularization of workers performing core operations and the engagement of a separate company with regular workers who will perform non-core activities,” Mr. Hernandez stated. 

“In line with their commitment to continuously support the program of the DOLE, Peter Paul submitted the list of anew batch of employees who have been regularized last July 2022,” he added. 

Mr. Froilan Villanueva, Vice President for Operations of Peter Paul, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to DOLE QPO for acknowledging their efforts in protecting their employees and for their relentless support on their company initiatives. 

“We are very thankful to DOLE Quezon for recognizing the company’s endeavors to safeguard and assist our employees. Peter Paul will continuously do its part to help in uplifting the lives of the workers in the province,” he said.
