Farmers from Laguna benefited from SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’Training Program

 

During the harvest and SM Markets tour of Batch 251 farmers from Brgy Banlic Calamba City, Laguna

A total of 75 farmers from Laguna are now equipped with new knowledge and skills about farming after they have completed the 14-week training of SM Foundation Inc.’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) Farmers’ Training Program.

Batch 249 of farmer trainees during the harvest of their high-value organic crops in Brgy San Lucas 1,San Pablo Laguna.

The KSK Farmers Training Program on Sustainable Agriculture recently culminated the activity with a bountiful harvest festival and graduation ceremony held at SM City Calamba, SM City San Pablo and SM City Santa Rosa.

SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Program aims to upgrade the agricultural knowledge of small-scale farmers in order to produce quality, safe, high-value, and high-yielding fruits and vegetables while teaching them to become self-sufficient. With this program, SM is also giving opportunity for farmers to create market-linkages through SM Supermarket.
