SM Foundation gives SAF Training Branch New Dispensary




SM Foundation recently inaugurated the newly renovated SAF Training Branch Dispensary,which services the medical needs of special action force commandos undergoing training in Fort Sto Domingo, Sta Rosa Laguna. Those undergoing training in the camp are exposed in true to life battle field situations which getting hurt or accidents may likely happen.

With the improvement of the facilities of the medical clinic, SAF trainees are assured of quality first-aid medical assistance in times of distress before they are turned over to the nearest hospital in case of confinement.

Also, the foundation donated equipment and supplies to the center, like oxygen tanks with regulators and carriage, nebulizers, stethoscopes, sterilizers, surgical sets, and other specialized equipment for battle simulation related emergencies. The reception/waiting room was furnished with furniture,including sofa, center table, wall fans, colored television sets and comfortable beds.

On hand to inaugurate and receive the renovated center from the SM Foundation was the newly appointedSpecial Action Force Director Moro Virgilio M. Lazowho said that at first he was hesitant to receive the proposal from SM for the trainees might call in sick but in the long run he said that what SM gave to SAF, is a big boost to their morale."He added that “modernizing the SAF Dispensary is very timely. He himself as a horemer trooper know the hardship of the training and how things are limited in the dispensary.

SM Foundation's Executive Director for Health and Medical Services Connie Angeles, in turning over' the donation to the SAF Training Branch, the second PNP adopted facility said "the donation is SM's small way of giving back to these brave men for the sacrifice that they give to ourbeloved country."
