PRO4A tops various focused police operations in relation to SAFE 2016

Camp Vicente Lim – The Police Regional Office CALABARZON topped in the various focused police operations in relation to the conduct of Safe and Secure Elections 2016 (SAFE 2016) according to The Deputy Chief PNP for Operations and Commander, National Task Force, Police Deputy Director General Danilo S Constantino in his speech as Guest of Honor and Speaker during his Command Visit today, May 31, 2016 at Speaker Feliciano S. Belmonte Hall at this camp.

            PRO4A ranked Number 1 among the 18 regional offices on the operation against Criminal Gangs wherein 15 cases were filed in court from January 10, 2016 to present. On accomplishment on Loose Firearms, the office also topped with a total of 2, 217 confiscated loose firearms. On the Actual Arrest of Persons, the office ranked first as it recorded a total of 1, 930 Wanted Persons covering the period from January 10 to May 19, 2016 following the National Capital Region which ranked second as it recorded a total of 1, 606 arrest of Wanted Persons.

            Similarly, a total of 240 confiscated, seized, surrendered, and recovered firearms were recorded and placed the office under top 2 next to the Police Regional Office 3 which recorded a total of 346 firearms. The PRO 4A also placed second in the numbers of checkpoints conducted with a total of 44, 060 next to Police Regional Office 1 with 46,698. It also ranked as the second highest number of Peace Covenant initiated with 135, and second place with a total of 138 for Candidates Forum Conducted, and the Facilitation of Conflict Mediation.

            PDDG Constantino recognized the efforts of the different agencies such as AFP, NDRRMC and COMELEC with the PNP as the forefront agency in the joint security preparations to effectively and efficiently address the security issues during the conduct of National and Local Elections 2016.

            Meanwhile, during the activity, PRO4A personnel and other individuals were given awards and recognition. Leading the awardees was the CALABARZON Officer-In-Charge himself, PCSUPT Ronald V Santos with the ‘Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod’ for his exceptionally meritorious and invaluable service in the field of police operations as Commander, PRO4A Region Group “SAFE 2016” through sustainable policing system, delivery of excellent police services, and intensified focus police operations thereby contributed to the prevention and suppression of crimes and effective enforcement of laws that resulted in the confiscation of 2, 204 loose firearms, arrest of 573 wanted persons, dismantling of 9 Private Armed Group (PAGs) and neutralization of 19 criminal gangs.

PRO4A personnel also take the opportunity to pay tribute to PDDG Constantino as his visit also serve as part of his Sentimental Journey for he will be bowing from the office 25 days from today. He became emotional as he recall the days when he serve PRO CALABARZON during the early years of his career. Among his stint in the region was when he held the position for 2 years as the Chief of Police of Lipa City Police Station in the province of Batangas in 1997-1999.
