The 36 units of Video Karera and Fruit Game Machines were the results of
Anti-Gambling Operations that were conducted by the members of Community
Support Brigade (CSB), elements of Regional Intelligence Division (RID),
Regional Public Safety Battalion 4A (RPSB), and the Regional Intelligence Unit
(RIU) 4A.
The first operation was conducted on the evening of June
30, 2016 led by PCIISP Rodel S Ban-o, PSINSP Rogelio B Pineda, Jr of RID and PINSP
Aaron Ezrah L Cabillan of RPSB4A in coordination with the Calamba City Police
Station at Calamba Wet Market and nearby barangays that resulted in the
confiscation of eighteen (18) illegal video karera and fruit game machine.
The second operation was also a joint operation conducted
by the same team under the supervision of PSINSP Pineda at Malaban, Bińan in
the evening of July 6, 2016 that resulted to the confiscation of ten (10) units
of the same illegal machines.
Final operation was conducted in the evening of July 20,
2016 with the same team at Imus Cavite that resulted to the confiscation of
four (4) units of same machine.
PCSUPT Tabian said that the confiscation of the machines
were the results of the intensified campaign of Police Regional Office
CALABARZON in curbing illegal gambling activities in the region.
Meanwhile, PRO4A personnel were awarded “Medalya ng
Papuri” for their meritorious achievement in the different field of police
operations that resulted to the arrest of Persons involved in various criminal
activities. Awardees were the following:
MEDALYA NG PAPURI was
awarded to the following personnel of Guinyangan, Municipal Police Station during
the implementation of Search Warrant Number Q-542 (16) issued by Hon Judge
Agripino G Morga of RTC Branch 32 of San Pablo City, Laguna that transpired on
July 3, 2016 at Brgy San Luis 2, Guinyangan Quezon that resulted in the arrest
of Richard Baja Ipo who was ranked number 3 in the list of the Top 10 Drug
Personalities in Quezon Province. Confiscated from his possession were 5 pcs of
small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu
residue; and other drug paraphernalia.

Violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions and Regulation
Act) and Vioalation of Section 11 and 12 of RA 9165. Confiscated from his
possession were 1 unit US Carbine Caliber .30; 3 pcs of magazines for cal pcs
of live ammunition for different calibers; 3 pcs of heat sealed transparent
plastic sachet containing more or less 10.40 grams of suspected shabu; 2
plastic sachet containing more or less 2 grams of suspected marijuana and
assorted drugs paraphernalia.
