New patrol motorbikes to boost PRO4A’s mobility

Camp Vicente Lim- The Director for Comptrollership, Police Director Archie Francisco F Gamboa led the blessing and ceremonial awarding of 160 motorcycles distributed among the Police Provincial Offices today at Camp Vicente Lim Calamba City.

Amidst the pouring rain, there’s no stopping the PRO CALABARZON personnelas each PPO’s received the said units. Of the said total, Cavite PPO received 25 units,16 units for Rizal PPO, 43 units for Quezon PPO, 35 units for Batangas PPO, 32 units for Laguna PPO, and 9 units for the Regional Headquarters.

The newly awarded motorcycles will boost the CALABARZON’s mobility to respond to police operations in their respective areas. In 2015, CALABARZON also received a total of 66 motorcycle units.

Meanwhile, PDIR Gamboa also distributed equipment for the members of Special Weapons and Tactics of the Regional Public Safety Battalion 4A.

In his message, PDIR Gamboa felt nostalgic as he remembered his stay in the region as the Chief Directorial Staff for 2 years and 5 months and as the Deputy Director for Operations for 2 months. He recalled the diligent and efficient staff of CALABARZON police.

He also announced that the PNP will procure a total of 27, 000 Basic AssaultRifle for the different public safety companies. Further, under the capability enhancement program of the Philippine National Police, mobility, firearms, and communication equipment as well as the construction of police stations will be the priority project of the Duterte Administration.

“The people are expecting more from us to serve and protect the people, and enforce the law without fear or favor. Let us continue our commitment, sincerity, and keep the passion burning within us,” he further added.

Prior to the distribution of motorbikes, PDIR Gamboa also graced the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of the Regional Headquarters and led the awarding of PRO CALABARZON personnel in their achievement in their administrative functions and the winners in the recently concluded RD Tabian’s Cup 2016 and the PRO CALABARZON Sportsfest 2016.(PIO- PRO4A)
