SSS cites importance of branch queuing system

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – The Social Security System (SSS) Calamba branch discussed its branch queuing set-up during the 2nd Quarter Sectoral Committee on Macroeconomy and Development Administration (SCMDA) Meeting held at the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Region IV-A in Barangay Milagrosa last May 10.

SSS Calamba Branch Head Edwin S. Igharas (left photo) explains the importance of an effective queuing system to better serve its clients composed of self-employed, voluntary and Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) members, pensioners, employers, and member’s beneficiaries.

“Proper queuing must be observed to maintain the orderliness and efficiency in serving all SSS clients. However, some of them need immediate attention that is why a Priority Lane is provided for Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women,” Igharas said.

At present, SSS Calamba branch receives an average of 8,500 to 9,000 transactions per day.
