LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The Social Security System (SSS), in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), shared the latest program updates to some 17 media practitioners during the Kapihan sa PIA held last July 17 at the Pacific Mall Activity Center.
One of the programs discussed during the Kapihan was the Contribution Penalty Condonation Program which will run only up to September 6.
“With the CPCP, employers’ penalties will be condoned while employees’ SSS benefits and privileges will finally be maximized. We encourage interested employers to visit the SSS branch nearest them to avail of this program,” SSS Lucena Branch Head Frederick D. Isip said.
Under the CPCP, delinquent employers including household employers will be able to pay their unpaid employees' contributions without having to pay for the penalties. Payment of contributions may be done in full or in installment.
Other topics discussed during the media forum include retirement benefit, maternity benefit and loan privileges.
