SM City Calamba recently launched its Kapihan sa SM, a monthly forum that
tackles the relevant issues in the country. It aims to aid information
dissemination with regards to the activities, products, and other pertinent
information about the invited public and private sectors.
The morning session was graced by JCINSP Edna C. Leonor – BJMP Chief
Welfare and Development Division, JINSP Nicanor M. Matining II – BJMP Chief CRS
Section and OIC, ICTM Division, FSINSP Nerissa Eugenia P. Panergalin – BFP
Chief Information Technology/Chief Public Information Unit, and Rowell Ramos –
Staff in Charge Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter. Overview, mission, vision
and details about the said organizations were discussed. During the afternoon session, Dr. Paula Paz
Sydiongco – Assistant Regional Director of DOH 4A talked about the current
status of COVID-19, different lifestyle diseases, and nutrition facts in the
region. Rowell Ramos – Staff in Charge Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter
emphasized the accessibility and location of blood centers as well as the guidelines
to blood donation.
“We hope that through the Kapihan sa SM we will be able to disseminate
the information of the issues happening today” said KC Tiqui PR Manager of SM
City Calamba.
Alongside with the Kapihan sa SM is the “Dugong Kaibigan Bloodletting
Project –Year 2.” A bloodletting campaign in partnership with SM City Calamba,
DZJV 1458 Radyo CALABARZON and Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter.
