Camp Vicente Lim Press Corps visits the very first command center in the Philippines

 


Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba Laguna – PBGen Eliseo DC Cruz, Regional Director of Calabarzon police, welcomed the media on their visit to the very first state of the art Command Center in the Philippines, stationed at the 2nd floor of Camp Vicente Lim, in Calamba City, Laguna.

According to PBGen Cruz, the establishment of this Command Center has long been his dream, to centrally monitor all activities in all their police stations as well as the operations of the police force in the region, efficiently andin real-time.

“Having a Central Command Center in the region would give us a complete view of what’s happening on the ground” says PBGen Cruz. “To date, we have 288 Police body bags with camera, equipped with GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) connected to a satellite and we have modern drones.“ shared Cruz.

Brig. Gen. Cruz added that many LGUs and expressways like Cavitex and allowed them mirror-view access to their CCTV’s. This is a big help in crime prevention and crime solution efforts of the regional police force.

Also, with the full advantage of modern technology, the command center takes pride of an integrated PNP Database System in which police files and other related information can be easily accessed and retrieved. It can even produce E-summon and E-warrant among others.

PBGen Cruz thanked all the members of the Camp Vicente Lim Press Corps for their unwavering support to them, on continuously disseminating newsworthy activities and endeavors of the Camp, ensuring full transparency and legitimacy of their law enforcement operations in the region.
