Negosyo Center Cavinti Conducts Distribution of Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Livelihood Kits






Cavinti, Laguna — As part of the continuous efforts of the government in providing business development assistance and encouraging the growth of entrepreneurs and MSMEs, the Laguna Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Laguna) is conducting Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) to different cities/municipalities in the province of Laguna.

The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI through the Negosyo Centers that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing programs, activities and services closer to the people through its partnerships with relevant local government units. Also, one of the objectives of the program is the provision of “business kits” to identified beneficiaries from target barangays that will help them restore and improve their businesses.

On July 18, 2022, DTI-Laguna through Negosyo Center Cavinti conducted the distribution of LSP-NSB business kits at Cavinti Sports Complex in Cavinti, Laguna. This activity was attended and participated by DTI-Laguna staff, guests and the 30beneficiaries from thesix (6) identified barangays in Cavinti, Laguna, namely: Bukal, Cansuso, Lumot-Mahipon, Paowin, Silangan Talaongan and Sumucab.

Aside from DTI-Laguna Key Officials, Cavinti Municipal Administrator Vina Lorraine also graced the program in behalf of the new elected Mayor Arrantlee Arroyo to encourage Cavinti MSMEs to strive for progress and development of their businesses and to give heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity that the DTI-Laguna has given to the selected MSMEs. After that, DTI-Laguna Provincial Director Clarke Nebrao delivered his message to the selected MSMEs and further encouraged and inspired them to dream big, to work hard and to be determined. Nebrao also highlighted that, with the help and support of the DTI Programs and Services, it is more than possible to be a successful entrepreneur.

The program proceeded without delay by the distribution of the livelihood kits. A total of thirty (30) business kits were awarded to beneficiaries in the form of actual goods. To end the event, DTI-Laguna Senior Trade and Industry Development SpecialistChristian Ted Tungohan gave his closing remarks to the beneficiaries and encouraged the MSMEs to continue learning by attending series of trainings and seminars, hoping  that every MSME is very much willing to maximize the opportunity that DTI-Laguna gave to them.

The distribution of the LSP-NSB Business Kits to all identified beneficiaries was successfully conducted. It will surely help the affected MSMEs in Cavinti, Laguna to restore and improve their business and contribute to economic success of their Municipality and Laguna as a whole.(JNAToriano, DTI Laguna).
