Pangandaman ranks among top officials in performance survey; performance score jumps from 85 to 88 percent
In this year’s second quarter “Boses ng Bayan” survey by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) emerged as one of the top-performing cabinet officials receiving an impressive 88% job performance score—a notable increase from her 85% rating in the first quarter.
The independent, non-commissioned survey measures the trust and performance ratings of key government officials, including President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte. It engaged 10,000 respondents taken from the 67.7 million voters in the country. Face-to-face interviews were conducted from the first week of July by the RP-Mission and Development (RPMD), to evaluate the overall effectiveness of cabinet officials in their respective roles.
The nationwide study aims to ensure accurate and proportional representation from every region. With a margin of error of +/-1% and a 95% confidence level, the results are robust and reliable, reflecting the true sentiments of the population.
Sec. Mina is joined at the top of the list of high-performing cabinet officials by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. with a 93% rating, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian with 91%, and Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco with 90%. Other notable mentions include Secretary Ralph Recto of the Department of Finance (DOF) with 86% and Secretary Boying Remulla of the Department of Justice (DOJ) with 84%.
Executive Director of RPMD and Global Affairs Analyst Dr. Paul Martinez praised the administration for its strong leadership, citing the high trust and performance ratings of both President Marcos and Vice President Duterte. He also highlighted the significant improvement in the ratings of House Speaker Martin Romualdez and the positive reception towards Senate President Chiz Escudero.###
