PCEEC 2026 Champions Greener, Smarter Buildings for a Sustainable Philippines

 


TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — July 29, 2026 — Government officials, industry leaders, engineers, architects, property developers, and sustainability advocates gathered at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City for the Philippine Conference on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (PCEEC) 2026, held July 29–30, with the theme, “Building Greener and Smarter: Advancing Energy-Efficient, Low-Carbon Buildings through Policy and Smart Technologies.”



The two-day conference highlighted the critical role of energy efficiency, smart technologies, innovative building designs, and stronger public-private sector collaboration in advancing a more sustainable and climate-resilient Philippines.



Participants explored emerging trends and solutions in green building practices, smart energy management systems, digital technologies, and policy initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption while supporting economic development.



A key highlight of the event was the celebration of Energy Efficiency Day 2026, which showcased successful projects, practical solutions, and innovative technologies designed to encourage businesses, institutions, and communities to integrate energy efficiency into their daily operations.



Experts from government, the private sector, and the sustainability sector also shared insights on accelerating the country's transition toward cleaner, smarter, and more resilient infrastructure.



The conference further reinforced the importance of implementing the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, encouraging businesses, institutions, and local governments to adopt sustainable practices that can reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
